Duct Tape Rose

I have quite a few rolls of colored duct tape, and have made many things with them. But one of my favorite things I made, was a Rose.

Here's how you do it:

Take a straw.

Cut a piece of duct tape the color you want the stem to be, a bit longer than the straw.

Flip it over, lay the straw on it, and roll it up. This is your stem.

Put the stem aside, and cut another piece of duct tape about 2.5 in. to 3 in. the color you want the petals to be. It doesn't have to be perfect.

Flip it over, and fold it in half, leaving a little space at the bottom.

Now, cut it into a dome shape.

Place your dome on the top of the straw

And wrap one side over,

Then the other side.

Cut another piece just like that, and repeat.

Add more petals...

And more...

Until it is as big as you want.

Next, cut three more pieces of duct tape the same color as your stem 2.5 in. to 3 in. long.

Fold one corner to the center,

Then the other corner.

Place one of the triangles onto the base of the flower,

And wrap it around.

Repeat with another of the triangles.

Now, take the last triangle, lay it on the stem,

And wrap it around.

There you have a rose!
