Duct Tape Bow

Every girl needs a bow. There are so many things to do with them in your hair! You can put them at the top of a style, the bottom of a braid or twist, under a bun, as a barrette, in a headband, the possibilities are numerous.

Here is a very quick and very easy way to make a bow. All you need, is colored duct tape, and a clip, you can find at Sally Beauty Supply.

Cut a piece of duct tape 9 in. long. This will be the bow. Cut another piece of duct tape 2 in. long. This will be the middle of the bow, the piece that holds it all together.

Start with the long piece. Fold one end into the middle...

Then the other end. You will end up with a duct tape rectangle.

Cut the short piece in half longways, so you have two 2 in. strips.

Fold the long side of one of the short strips over, leaving only a small space of the sticky side.

Accordion fold the middle of the bow, so you have three ridges, and three valleys making up the accordion. Pinch it together.

Take the short strip you folded, and wrap it around the middle of the bow to hold it secure. Don't wrap it really tight.

Take your clip...

Turn the bow over, and slid one side of the clip under the middle strip of duct tape.

There you go! You can fold up the ends of the bow, or keep them down. Play around with it to fit you!
