Painting your nails: Tips and Tricks

If you want to get a full professional look when you paint your nails, here are a few tips:

1. Don't paint your cuticle.

2. Don't paint all the way to the edge of your nails on the sides. Leave a fraction of a space, so that it doesn't get all over your fingers.

3. File your nails first, even the nail bed, so it removes any strange lines. Buffer your nail bed, as this will make the polish go on smoother. If your nail bed is rough, it makes it difficult to get a smooth coat.

4. Don't cut your nails extremely short. It helps to have space to bring the brush off the end of your nail to make sure the polish all the way to the front edge.

5. Paint your nails often. The more you paint your nails, the better you will be at it.

6. If you get nail polish on your skin, it is easiest if you wipe it off right away. If it still does not come off, you can take a Q-tip with nail polish remover on it, and get the polish off your skin that way.

7. The best nail polish remover is acetone.
